Below is a chronological list of announcements from Computer Science.

  • On Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at 4:15 pm, Dr. Viola Hochberger will give a talk about "Requirements Engineering im Kundenprojekt: Der Weg vom Problem zur guten Lösung". For more informationen click here.
     
  • On Wednesday, November 15th, 2023, an information event about stays abroad will take place on the 5th floor of the Mathematicon at 2 p.m. More information can be found here.
    The welcome events for the new Bachelor and Master students took place on Monday, November 16th, 2023. The slides of the presentations can be found here for the BSc Computer Science and here for the MSc Data and Computer Science.
  • On Tuesday, July 4th, 2023, at 4.15 pm, Prof. Dr. Bernd Brügge from the TUM will give a talk about "Die Magie in der Softwareentwicklung". For more informationen click here.
  • On Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at 19:15 p.m., a talk by Dr. Elisabeth Peinsipp-Byma from Fraunhofer IOSB, Mannheim about "KI-gestützte Überwachung Maritimer Gebiete" will take place. More information can be found here.
     
  • On Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at 10 a.m., an online talk by Stefan Neumann from KTH Stockholm about "Dynamic Maintenance of Monotone Dynamic Programs and Applications" will take place. Further information can be found here.
  • On Monday, 24 April, at 18.00 h, there is an informal information event in SR A of the Mathematikon that is meant for new Master students. There will be no fixed agenda or presentation but the topics to be discussed are up to you, so please share questions of general interest on courses, course selection, exams and similar issues. If there is time, we may also discuss more general issues related for example to the German university system or to arriving to Heidelberg from abroad.
  • On Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at 11:15 a.m., the Dean of Studies welcomes our new master's students Data and Computer Science in the Mathematikon lecture hall. The slides of the Dean of Studies for the event can be found here, the slides of the student council here. The video of the event can be found here.
  • On Tuesday, February 07, 2023, at 4:15 p.m., a computer science colloquium will be held in the large lecture hall in the Mathematikon on the topic of "Property-based Testing", A Practical Introduction. The speakers are Johannes Link and Matthias Merdes, Heidelberg Institute for Geo Information Technology (HeiGIT). Further information can be found hereThe colloquium will be held in German.
  • On Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at 3 p.m., the information event on studying Computer Science will take place as part of the Study Information Days. Prof. Michael Gertz will give a presentation on the topic "Computer Science - Shaping the Future" (in German). The event will take place in the large lecture hall in the Mathematicon.   • The Dean of Studies will welcome the new Bachelor students (100% and 50%) on Tuesday, October 18, at 11 a.m. in the lecture hall in the Mathematikon building. (Posted 09/01/2022)

  • The welcoming of the students "Teaching Computer Science" will take place on Monday, October 17, at 4 p.m. in seminar room B in the Mathematikon building. This event is aimed at new students in the Master of Education and extension subject master, as well as students in the 50% bachelor's degree with the teaching profession option and the desire to become a teacher.
